In the video, Jon talks about how he wishes he could go back in time and take all of his d-baggedness back. He removes his earrings, takes off the sleazy Ed Hardy shirts, and dumps the liquor in the fridge. He even tells a blond in a bikini to go home – he’s done partying.

While the video is certainly worth a chuckle, it does bring to mind a few questions. If Jon is doing this spoof, then obviously he is aware of what a tool he’s been recently. But does anyone really think he’s wanting, or willing, to go back to pre-alien abduction Jon?

In many ways, this spoof would have been funnier if they had used an actor look-alike, much as the website did for the Jon Gosselin Match.com video. With Jon starring in the video, addressing every d-bag cliche he’s managed to pull this year, it’s really just sad.

And it only gets better. George Takei comes out of the rainbow woodwork to stand in for Jon. Can you say, fabulous? He’s the icing on this satirical cake. I nearly lost it when he delivers the line “Of course I love kids! Have you seen my girlfriend?”.

In a surprisely slow response (the video was only posted 9 days ago…c’mon! I expect this kind of stuff to be up within 2 days!) to the Jon and Kate divorce sensation,  Funny Or Die has posted this video on their website. The video depicts “Jon” (an actor of course) in an ad for match.com.

“I want to meet someone who’s haircut is symmetrical, who likes bluetooth, Ed Hardy T-shirts, tractors, and doesn’t mind that I already have 8 half-white babies.” “….and I always sit on this side of the couch.”

While maybe the internet response wasn’t the fastest, the question is, is it too soon for these kind of jokes? Or is it about time we start seeing parodies of what had already become a joke?
