Recently, and yet again, Jodi and Kevin Kreider have stirred up another stink about the Gosselin children’s privacy rights. They are now laying claim that the children have been “psychologically damaged” by their participation in the show.
Two examples of possible extortion and/or abuse the Kreiders are citing are the infamous staged Christmas episode and the potty training episode. For those of you not in the know, evidently Jon and Kate are heartless enough to tell their children that it was Christmas morning – even when it is not. They wanted to get a genuine reaction from the kids, on camera of course.
The Kreiders are saying that filming the children’s journey through potty training has, not surprisingly, violated their right to privacy. Of course, ahem, one of those was filming at the Kreider home. Whoops!
These are their poster child examples of why the Gosselin children have been tragically and mentally damaged.
Anyone who has read one other post on this blog knows that I side 100% with the kids. You all know that I have spoken against publicizing every embarrassing moment of their childhood. This is why, technically, I agree with the Kreiders.
But I don’t side with them.
I’d be Team Kreider if I thought that one iota of all this legal bluster was sincere. But it isn’t. Anyone with a memory and a pair of eyes saw that the Kreiders had no problem with their relatives parading around their children – that is, until they stopped getting a piece of the money pie. “Coincidence” had it that soon after Jon and Kate cut them off, they hit the tabloids.
At this point, it’s just another way to get their name and face back on TV.
]]>And don’t even get me started on Jon’s escapades or his recent lawsuit against Kate for the custody of the children. Who’s he kidding? I wouldn’t trust him with my dog, much less kids. I’ve just gotta chalk this one up to yet another publicity stunt. He has been on the back burner lately – I guess he thought it was time to make waves again.
But I digress.
Of course, I’m really here to talk about Kate’s new show, “Twist of Kate”. As I understand it, Kate has managed to land, not one, but two shows on TLC. First, Kate Plus Eight will relaunch (sans Jon of course). This gives the eight yet another chance to have all of America watch as they work their way through all the embarrassing moments of childhood (and beyond in to puberty, perhaps?).
Second, we will all be treated to more Kate Gosselin in Twist of Kate (which sounds like she’s going to be served “on the rocks”). The new show will have Kate hosting as she highlights strong woman figures and their journeys through adversity. My understanding of the show makes it sound like one big Kate worship fest.
“Twist of Kate” will follow the reality star and supermom as she visits the homes and workplaces of her subjects, where she will exchange insights for living.
Her subjects?? I know we’ve all called her a “queen” bee, but seriously, she’s no royalty.
I don’t even want to bother with her “insights”. Go with the $5,000 hairdo, or splurge on the $7,000? Hmmmm….

In what has already become a pattern, Kate Gosselin is ruffling feathers with the Dancing with the Stars crew and contestants. as quoted from Perez Hilton:
“Kate doesn’t want anything to do with other contestants…While there’s a lot of camaraderie among the crew and other stars including Pamela Anderson, Kate has set herself apart…She wants to be queen bee.”
Rumor has it that merely her presence kept Olympic skater Johnny Weir from participating in the show. Personally, I’ve gotta go with those saying that he is just grumpy about her. His reports of her muddling up his neighborhood with paparazzi would certainly be enough to cause him to let loose with a few hateful words towards her.
Now, there are some flying to Kate’s defense, saying the claims of her giving the DWTS crowd the cold shoulder are completely false. Much like the people defending her during the Today Show, they say that these rumors are being spread to give her a bad name.
However, given the harpy squawking we were all treated to during her reign on J&K+8, it isn’t all too far fetched she turn her nose to a few other people – you know, they are “just” celebrities. They don’t hold a candle to her reality-”star” status.
]]>First we have Kate landing a spot on Dancing with the Stars. Lots of people have been making a big deal over this. Personally I can’t say that I’m that interested. I can only assume that she’ll make it through part of the show, dancing decently but with no real distinction. Certainly Aldrin will last longer, despite her being half his age. It’s no contest – living legend versus fame mongering housewife.
But I digress.
Because what could be better than Kate having an opportunity to be put in her place amongst real celebrities? It would have to be Jon getting solicited by Playgirl – and for a fraction the price. It’s like they were short one page on the magazine and ran to the bargain bin for filler. While 20 gees is not a sum to laugh at, Playgirl’s offers are usually much, much higher. Try $80,000 dollars higher, as Levi Johnson was reportedly payed for his shirtless shoot.
“We discussed it and we’d offer him only $20,000,” Playgirl rep Daniel Nardicio told Life & Style magazine. “His star is extinguishing, and he’s not very [well endowed].” (source)

]]>We’ve often wondered if those who’ve recently fallen for Jon Gosselin have lived under a rock before they met him. His latest girlfriend, Morgan Christie, seems to be one of those people who know not of the reality TV dad’s notoriety. But we’re pretty sure she’s not that dim; she just has her own reasons for allowing herself the humiliation of being with the Jon and Kate Plus 8 star.
Just like all the others, she’s doing it for the 15 minutes of fame. A friend of Christie’s, who went to Emory University with her, explained the girl’s plans to Radar Online. As we expected, it had something to do with getting more exposure. Perhaps she and Jon really are a match.
“I have no doubt she’s doing it for the publicity. It’s all about getting her picture taken,” the insider revealed. “I mean, there’s nothing attractive about Jon Gosselin. Why would Morgan want to be with an older, overweight man with eight kids?”
On a side note, the Jon and Kate Plus 8 patriarch is also out of a job. It’s one reason why there are speculations regarding him going after her money.
But it looks like Morgan Christie wouldn’t mind, since fame isn’t all she’s after. “This is just her way of rebelling against her family,” the pal announced. “And knowing her family, I’m surprised that they’re ok with this.”
Reports recently surfaced about Jon Gosselin moving in with Morgan Christie. He’s also supposedly met her folks, who were more welcoming than we expected. It isn’t exactly rebelling against them if they’re fine with the arrangement, is it?
Nevertheless, there will certainly be plenty of rumors and stories about this 25-year-old girl. Just attaching your name to Jon Gosselin’s will already cause the paparazzi to follow you around.
But since that’s what Morgan Christie is after, maybe we should just let her do what she wants for now. She’ll eventually learn; if this really will be a big mistake she can look back on in the future.

Well, it looks like Jon is up to his old attention-whoring tricks. What should have been a low key event (attending the Sundance Film Festival) has now blown up to gossip grape-vine proportions. Naturally.
Of course, if there is a chance of media attention, Jon will make sure he gets it. Apparently he’s been parading his new lady friend all over the film festival, all the while indulging in some major PDA. Enough that your average festival goer was feeling a tad uncomfortable at the publicly intimate moments.
“Tons of PDA, holding hands, kissing,” an onlooker tells UsMagazine.com. “They kept walking around, it’s not like they tried to be discreet and stay in a corner.” And despite Christie’s actual age, the law-school student “looked anywhere from 19 to 23,” the partygoer says. “Anyone who saw him remarked how inappropriate it was. Gosselin seemed to love the attention.” As for Christie, another guest that night says she was “super clingy and got jealous when he talked to other girls.” (US Magazine)
So one does wonder if this move has anything to do with the rumors of Jon’s money troubles? Here on the internet, Jon has been accused of being broke and mooching off of his new GF. It was supposed that he would be leaving his expensive NY pad very soon to take up with her and her money in Utah.
If rumor is right, then we will suppose no more.

As we all remember, Kate’s brother Kevin had a lot to say about his opinions when it came to Kate raising her children. Common criticism voiced concerns that his attempts to “help” (i.e. attention grabbing/whining on network television) weren’t doing anything to improve the situation. Many felt that he and his wife were only exacerbating the problem while managing to glean their 15 minutes of fame from their family’s coattails.

Morgan Christie is a graduate of Emory University, earning her degree in 2007. She was in the sorority AEPhi during that time, and later worked at a store called Blue Bee. Soon she became employed at a law firm, and is currently planning to go to law school.
She may sound rather smart, but seeing who she’s with in the photograph there makes one think otherwise. There are varying levels of intelligence after all.
The new flame of Jon and Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin is also quite loaded. An old friend of Christie revealed to the magazine that she grew up “very privileged,” which of course works well for the unemployed dad of eight.
Another tidbit about Morgan Christie is that she was once engaged. After she graduated, she dated Connor Humphreys, also an Emory alum. He proposed to her early last year, and the two of them even planned a wedding at the Four Seasons in Santa Barbara. Unfortunately, they broke up a few months ago.
Now, she’s obviously with this former TLC star and possibly even living with him. FOX 411 reports that Jon Gosselin has temporarily moved in with Morgan Christie. And we thought they’d take it slow.
“Jon doesn’t have money to pay lawyer bills, legal fees and Manhattan rent. He needs to get rid of the NYC apartment. It is all too much for him to handle,” a source revealed. “Jon is staying with Morgan in Utah and they are hitting the slopes together. He felt like he needed to get away from the drama, so he escaped with Morgan to her family home.”

Whoa, whoa buddy! Does this guy work quickly or what? Hailey’s car seat is still warm after Jon kicked her to the curb and he’s already living with someone new?
However, Jon’s friends have blabbed once again about his personal life. Such good friends.
One squealer reports that Jon didn’t necessarily choose to move in with Morgan. Instead, he had to dues to *gasp* money troubles.

“Jon can’t afford to pay his bills and a lot of people are asking for their money immediately,” the source said. “Jon doesn’t have money to pay lawyer bills, legal fees and Manhattan rent. He needs to get rid of the NYC apartment. It is all too much for him to handle.” (source)
Yeah, who knew all that junk and legal fees would cost so much? It seems that Jon fell into the well known cliche of “new money”. He took one look at that chunk of moolah he milked from his cash cow (aka his kids), and thought he couldn’t spend it all.
News flash: You can if you spend it on stupid stuff, then spend it to do stupid stuff, then have to spend more to legally defend your stupid actions. Whoops. And now he can’t afford any of it.
So know, after only dating a month, Jon’s already depending on his new sucker girlfriend. Even the unidentified “friend” thought that Morgan could end up supporting the loser if she wasn’t careful.
Because nothing says “romance” like bankruptcy.
